3. Characterization of Bilateral Agreement

A. Grant of Rights:
As specified in the Annex.
B. Designation:
Multiple, Air Canada and Middle East Airlines.
C. Tariffs:
Double disapproval.
D. Capacity:
Pre-determination (see section 4 for capacity entitlements).

LEBANON

Montreal

Any point or points

  1. Transit rights may be obtained at Intermediate Points and Points in Canada. Fifth freedom rights are not available between Intermediate Points and Montreal or between Montreal and Points Beyond. At the option of the designated Lebanese air carrier (or carriers), interline connections may be made at any Intermediate Point, and any or all of the Intermediate Points and Points Beyond may be omitted on any or all services, provided that all services originate or terminate in Lebanon. Intermediate Points and Points Beyond may be modified on ten (10) days' notice, unless Canadian aeronautical authorities authorize a shorter notification deadline.

  2. For the purposes of Article XI (Capacity), the Government of the Republic of Lebanon is entitled to allocate among the designated Lebanese air carriers a total of three (3) flights per week to and from Canada for the operation of own aircraft services.
